I finally had a day without touching a PC. Yesterday was great, I got to have lunch in a restaurant, take my time walking around and learning some French by home-study. But I can't honestly say I was totally disconnected, because I checked my email on my mobile phone. Tut, tut, tut. But hey, it beats staring at a monitor all day. I also don't intend to stay connected today, as I'm gonna get on a train and go somewhere - I'm not quite sure where yet, but we'll see.

We all should strive to find the balance between being wired, and having 'self-time'. If we don't then we're gonna lose the strength to champion our cause in any serious way.

I'm not feeling too great, perhaps I have a cold or the flu. Right now I feel slightly overworked as I've been working non-stop since I got back from WSIS two weeks ago, on several things that are important to me. It feels great to know that I'm investing myself into causes which are close to my heart.

But, I need a break - the kind of break where I totally disconnect from the wired world for a few days. I'm not sure I can actually do this successfully, but we'll soon see.

After struggling to get along in Geneva without being able to speak French, I've invested in a home-study course in Basic French. Woo-hoo!

I've just done my first lesson and I've picked up an amazing amount.

'Mon nome est Luke. Je suis de Londres.'

Lol. I can't wait to be able to talk to all you French speaking TIG-ers in your own tongue.
