For some reason, I woke up today with the most intense dizziness I've ever experienced. That was a few hours ago, and it still hasn't passed. It is making my day difficult, as I have to stay in the same place and not get up at all. Aaarrgghh!

I am becoming increasingly interested in bioinformatics, a relatively new field of the IT sector which is becoming ever popular. It is basically the technology applications that go into tracking the genome projects that are happening. Last week I tried getting back to my old programming days, when I used to program for the desktop rather than web development; Mac OS X Panther comes with xcode, the programming tool for Mac users. So, for the first time on a Mac, I opened it up and had a go at making a new browser, to replace Safari - it wasn't TOO successful, but I learned about the Safari framework, and the basic fundamentals of programming in C. I'd like to start a new programming project, an RSS feed aggregator for the Mac - it would sit on your desktop and grab data from RSS feeds and parse the relevant information for display. Perhaps I'll start this in a few weeks, when I get through the relentless pile of work that I keep procrastinating from. TIG should have an RSS feed for updates.takingitglobal.org! It would be great.
